Guests visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios for incredible attractions, thrilling entertainment, and exciting restaurants. New shows and experiences are being added all the time, and there are plans in the works for the most innovative attractions yet featuring the Star Wars saga and our favorite Toy Story characters. Make your day at Hollywood Studios a terrific one and walk in with some advance planning and expectations on how to best navigate the park. Here are a few good ideas to keep in mind the next time you experience the magic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
1. Make an ADR for a great meal.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has several delicious restaurants, and two of them are consistently popular, as well as unique. You definitely should plan ahead and make an Advanced Dining Reservation if you want to enjoy a meal without a long wait. The 50s Prime Time Café offers a comfort food menu, including meat loaf, fried chicken, chicken pot pie, and milkshakes. Your dining experience starts with sitting in a kitchen setting straight from the 1950s complete with Formica countertops, black and white TV shows, and retro décor. Your server is in on the fun and has some playful antics to make your meal a memorable one. The second very popular restaurant is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, a place that will take you back in time. Enjoy your meal inside a classic car at a drive-in theater watching classic black and white horror film clips.
2. Rope Drop is important.
Be there early, even if you’ve already made a few FastPass+ selections. This is a beautiful park to enjoy in the early morning without the crowds, plus the chance for shorter waits on most attractions is best at Rope Drop. As an added plus, I always love getting nice pictures first thing in the morning without the crowds.
3. MuppetVision 3D.
Make time for the more classic attractions like MuppetVision 3D, but don’t use a precious FastPass+ on it. The show is fun for all ages, but the theater is large and there is never a long wait to get in.
4. Toy Story Mania!
Even though an additional track was added to this very popular attraction to accommodate more guests, it’s still crucial to reserve a FastPass+. Standby wait times are still fairly lengthy if you want to play along with the gang from Toy Story.
5. Get your Star Wars on.
Set aside enough time to experience all the great Star Wars attractions and shows. Even though the greatly anticipated Star Wars land isn’t built yet, there is still so much to do right now. Star Wars-The Adventures Continue is an amazing 3D motion simulator space ride with scenes from all Star Wars films. The Star Wars Launch Bay combines movie props, games, film clips, and meet-and-greets with Star Wars characters. Young guests get a chance to be part of the action with Jedi Training-Trials of the Temple, a show where they can test their skills battling famous Star Wars villains. Don’t forget about the March of the First Order, where the Stormtroopers march up to the Center Stage and demonstrate their fierce skills. If you still have time, stay late for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, and watch the thrilling fireworks set to Star Wars music.

6. Plan ahead for Fantasmic.
A smart way to get a good seat and have a nice meal is to take advantage of the Fantasmic Dining Package. Guests can pick one of three restaurant choices in the park, and the package is a fixed-price meal that includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and beverage per person. After your meal, you are entitled to VIP seating in a great section of the Fantasmic theater. This is the most stress-free way to eat a nice dinner and get a good seat for one of Walt Disney World’s best shows.
